Lane Riley Dawson , you were born on March 27, 2004 at 2:212 a.m. at Baptist Women's Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She weighed 6 lb 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. I had a really great pregnancy...a little sickness the first few months, but not much to complain about. I went into labor at 38 weeks and you were born without complication (except a poorly effective epidural!). Although, I we did not realize how difficult having you in the middle of the night would be. Fatigue would not start to describe what we were feeling about 4 am, me especially. I will never forget that chinese nurse that came in to try to get you to nurse at about 5 am....I think I would like to have had a few choice words for her. I also remember trying to wake Rob up about that time and he was absolutely delerious...and not much help right then. Good thing we had good friends to come and change your first diaper! We named you just what we wanted, not for anyone or with anyone's input, just what Rob and I wanted for our first baby. We had a good hospital experience, and like most new parents were scared to death when we had to get in that car (a 2002 Toyota Camry) on the way home.........
